Volume Breakout

The Volume Breakout is a derivative of a standard volume bar. It is a two phases bar type.

First it starts to accumulate volumes during phase one, and then, it waits for a volume breakout above the high or below the low of the accumulation phase.

This results in better signals based on oscillator or pattern recognition, because it filters small variations of price and is focused on Volume moves.

Volume Reversal

The Volume Reversal is very similar to the Volume Breakout above, and is derivative of a standard volume bar. It is a two phases bar type.

First it starts to accumulate volumes during phase one, and then, it waits for a continuation if volume are exchanged in the trend direction, or a volume reversal is significant volume are exchanged in the opposite trend direction.

This bar display volume trends and is less sensitive to false reversal or false counter trend moves, and works very well with “in trend” strategies.

Volatility Renko

The Volatility Renko is an advanced Renko base BarType working on NinjaTrader 8, which filters the noise of the market and eliminate Phantom bars to get a simple chart to read and analyze. Noise filtering is performed at both price and time.

It is initially based on a “Renko” construction, to get smoother charts, but keep the real OHLC values so you don’t loose relevant information.

The Backtest Mode allows you to backtest strategies with this bar type, contrary to standard renko or range bar types.
